Environment Jobs Information
Environmental jobs is a gargantuan area containing many types of jobs with many different requirements. This sector offers a wide variety of careers, no matter the interest. Environmental careers can involve biology and chemistry, such as hydrology, wildlife biology and geoscience. Other forms of environmental jobs include becoming an environmental lawyer, an urban planner, and a chief sustainability officer. Jobs in this sector will focus on protecting and studying the environment, making sure companies are sustainable, renewable energy is readily available, and studying the changes/behaviour in nature. People with experience in the industry can find themselves moving up the rank and earning a lot of money.

Environmental Job Requirements
The majority of environmental-related jobs will require at least a Bachelor’s Degree in a subject relating to the chosen field. Gaining relevant voluntary or paid experience is valuable to succeeding in a job application. Volunteering opportunities can be found in non-governmental organisations and charities. Advancing further in these fields require a postgraduate degree if the candidate’s Bachelor’s course was too unrelated to the job. School leavers are able to find jobs as environmental technicians and work their way up, but relevant A-Levels are required. Employers also expect strong critical thinking skills and communication skills.

Environmental Job Market Trends
Over the last few years, people have been taking environmental care more seriously, resulting in more availabilities in related fields. The highest number of vacancies are within ecology and conservation, air pollution, and environmental management. Geotechnical engineering jobs are amongst the highest paying of all environmental jobs, with possible average earnings of £50,000 plus.
