How Do I Set Up An Email Job Alert?

Setting up an email job alert

Setting up an email job alert couldn’t be more simple. First you should follow this link to our jobs by email page. If you’re already logged into your account, you’ll be asked to create a new job alert.

Here you can enter details including keywords, locations and sector to restrict the emails to your specific preferences. Once you’ve filled in these fields hit save and you’ll be sent an email confirmation. From your account settings, you can also choose how regularly you’d like to receive your alert.


How many job alerts can I set up?

You can repeat the steps listed above and set up as many Job alerts as you like. This allows you to fully maximise your job search experience with What Jobs?.

This is particularly recommended if you’re searching for jobs in multiple sectors. You’ll also be able to choose how frequently you want to receive these and this can be changed at any time in your account settings.


Changing your job alert details

Sometimes you have a change of circumstances which can affect your job alerts. If you’ve moved location or are looking at moving location, or perhaps you would like to look for a different career. You can make these changes yourself. To do this just follow these simple instructions:

  1. Visit Login page and log into your account.

  2. Once you are logged in, look to the left hand side and you will see a menu button called JBE alerts.

  3. Click on JBE alerts.

  4. Now you have reached where you need to be, you can make the changes necessary to your own personal criteria.

That’s everything you need to do to change your JBE criteria.


Saving jobs

To save any job, simply click on the star icon to the top-right of each job add. These can then be accessed through the “My jobs” section in the account settings.

There are no limits to how many jobs you can save. You can also choose how many jobs appear on each page (ranging from 10-50). It’s worth remembering though that jobs you’ve saved can soon expire.

Due to this, and the fact we update our site with at least 10,000 new jobs every day, we recommend you use our email alerts service to get the most out of the site.
