We have a fantastic opportunity for a customer focused and sales driven Caf /Coffee Shop Supervisor at SEA LIFE Hunstanton who can deliver amazing customer service to our guests visiting our in-house Proud to Serve Costa Coffee shop.

About the role
Reporting to the General Manager and managing a team of hosts, you ll take the lead in delivering a first-class, family friendly visitor experience for our guests; ensuring the smooth running of the catering operation, maximising revenue of food and drink products and making sure our guests are wowed by their time with us.
Regularly working with your team on the front line and in the thick of the action, in our Proud To Serve Costa coffee shop and ice cream kiosk, outstanding customer service will come naturally to you, as will the ability to lead by example whilst creating a motivational environment. You will ensure food is served promptly and to the highest standard, adhering to all health and safety and food hygiene regulations. You will make sure that temperature control checks are carried out and provide training for all staff members in our food and beverage units.
Whether you re catering for our day visitors or for kids parties, you will be on hand to ensure guests receive exceptional service and high-quality food. You will actively seek ways to increase revenue and keep wastage to a minimum; liaising with suppliers to ensure efficient stock management, coaching staff to achieve spend targets and supporting the catering team to deliver the highest quality standards of food hygiene.
As part of the management team you will also be included in the duty management rota and as well as being a key holder, you ll provide emergency call out cover on a roster basis.
This is a full-time permanent role, working 5 days from 7 and as weekends and holiday periods are our busiest time this will include doing your fair share of weekends and bank holidays on a roster basis.
It goes without saying that you'll have loads of experience working in customer facing environments that put the customer experience at the heart of everything. You'll be able to demonstrate how your customer service skills are second to none and that you're a natural when it comes to interacting with SEA LIFE fans of all ages.
Previous experience of supervising and leading a team in a catering environment is essential and our ideal candidate will have strong communication skills coupled with bags of enthusiasm and energy. Level 3 Supervising Food Safety in Catering is desirable but level 2 certification with solid experience in catering will be considered. You will also need the ability to 'think on your feet' and take ownership of any problems or minor complaints that may rise.
You will need to be a role model for the team, leading by example, setting the high standards expected in this department. You will enjoy working within a busy and often pressurised environment whilst engaging in conversation and interacting with our guests in an open and genuine manner. Naturally, you are a reliable and customer focused team player and will take pride in ensuring that you are consistently delivering a service that goes above and beyond.
