Legal consulting offers fresh opportunities at an earlier point in your career than you might imagine. We are currently looking for derivatives and structured finance lawyers with 2-10 years' top-tier post-qualification experience to support our external clients.
Successful applicants will:
have a minimum of two years' post-qualification experience at a firm ranked as top tier for derivatives and structured finance; ideally have recent in-house legal experience at a leading financial services institution (directly or as a secondee); have a commitment to building a career as a consultant and be motivated to operate at a high level whilst working in this way; have a consultant mindset, including a flexible and adaptable outlook and approach; have proven project management skills; have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interface at all levels, building strong relationships internally and externally; be resilient, autonomous and highly credible, with exemplary commercial/business acumen, client service ethic and commitment; have excellent academic credentials; and have a practising certificate (or equivalent) which entitles them to practise as a lawyer in the UK. NOTE: Due to nature of the relationship between Peerpoint and our consultants, we are not able to sponsor visas. Applicants are therefore required to have a right to reside and work in the UK.
Examples of recent opportunities A derivatives lawyer supporting an investment bank’s markets team with FX and fixed income work. A lawyer with derivatives and structured finance experience working as part of the IBOR project team within an investment bank. A role supporting a banking client with equity derivative financings and margin loans.
