A BIT ABOUT THE ROLE
The Food Group Design Hub produces world-class, multimedia content for Britain's leading food media brands. It is an environment in which we constantly innovate across print and digital platforms with a focus on our key verticals – recipes, family, health, travel and reviews.
We are looking for a driven designer with experience in a range of different disciplines, including plenty of digital channels, and, most importantly, a flair for design across all our different touch points.
From our magazine to social channels, from .com to our live events, you'll play an important role in the continued growth of the BBC Good Food and olive brands.
Joining a team of passionate creatives, accountabilities will include:
Working across a variety of formats and designing all manner of inspiring food content, from email to social campaigns, from our websites to magazine pages. Taking responsibility for sign-off of files and all design details involved. Commissioning original art, writing shoot briefs, working directly with teams to make sure each commission is delivered on time and looking great. Arranging and managing freelance support in order to make sure work-flow is consistent and of the highest possible quality. Contributing big ideas and communicating clearly as part of the wider team.
A BIT ABOUT YOU
Dynamic self-starter. Strong organisational skills with the ability to clearly and effectively prioritise. Skilled in the use of Creative Cloud. You’ll have natural inter-personal skills and the ability to drive deadlines with both internal and external partners. You will love contributing creative ideas and design solutions and get real satisfaction from bringing them to life across all our platforms. You’re comfortable in the world of food photography, from writing shoot briefs for the creative team to art directing shoots yourself. Experience of maintaining and monitoring budgets will be useful.
