Procurement Manager (#28015394)

M Group Services Plant & Fleet Solutions is currently looking to recruit a Procurement Manager based in Stevenage.

As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for a wide variety of plant and vehicles, support services, funding and the disposal of end of life assets. Joining an expanding procurement team in our growing business, this role predominantly supports the Plant & Fleet South business, but you will work closely with the Procurement and Disposal Manager responsible for the North based business.

As the Procurement Manager your duties and responsibilities will be:

End to end procurement of Plant & Fleet requirements for the business within existing framework agreements, taking responsibility to lead certain categories within the buying requirements
Supplier management; lead supplier meetings with relevant colleagues, ongoing measurement of suppliers SLAs, rebate recovery/reporting
Contribute to major tender events for key suppliers
Analysis and reporting of spend levels and trends
Ensure suppliers set up process is fully compliant with the company BMS
Disposal of Plant & Fleet leased and owned assets for the Southern MGSPFS asset portfolio
Work with Fleet Engineers to ensure tech spec is correct

Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

CIPS or comparable qualification
Buying experience of high volumes/high spend levels ideally in Plant & Fleet
High degree of commercial awareness and able to manage high volumes of purchases accurately
Ability to quickly learn and understand the sometimes highly technical products being purchased
Highly personable and able to work closely with colleagues and internal customers to answer a variety of questions and queries
Ability to prioritise work load and work under pressure to strict deadlines
High degree of Computer literacy and data analysis skills
Capability to take effective ownership for the role objectives
Strong commitment to delivering high standards of internal and external customer service
