We are currently recruiting for an experienced and confident Senior Project Accountant to join our brand new Merlin Hub in Basingstoke.
Scope of the role...
Our Senior Project Accountant will manage a team of up to 5 and will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of financial control, accounting and reporting activities – in according with our policy and quality standards.
Working on Projects, you will liaise with all departments to provide support and coordination through financial control and analysis. You will be an integral part of our implementation team, and you’ll drive best proactive and process efficiencies through continuous improvement using Visual Management methodology and tools.
Ensuring Projects Policy compliance and controlling the integrity of Merlin’s Global Projects NetSuite system for all Merlin projects. Managing the entire NetSuite Project cycle, from its creation as a system record to its closure, and ensuring a seamless handover to fixed assets where appropriate.
Process owner of the Global Projects Master Data settings within NetSuite.
Processing and coordinating Projects period end close activities including timesheet journals, irrecoverable tax accruals etc.
Complete relevant Projects balance sheet reconciliations and liaise with balance sheet owners as necessary.
Prepare Project Financial reports and ensure compliance with regulations.
Supervise Project accounting activity across international legal entities.
Managing Project journal processing through working with site & hub teams.
Ownership of relevant end-to-end process documentation.
Ensures system of accounts and records are properly maintained.
Ensures compliance with accounting and tax statutory requirements.
We are looking for the following Skills, Experience & Qualifications...
You’ll be experienced in leading and developing a team, with excellent stakeholder and team management skills. You’ll have solid project experience driving change within a business.
You’ll need to be a fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA – 3 years + PQE.
You’ll have extensive experience of month end close processes and with complex financial systems landscape and data structures.
You’ll be experienced & knowledgeable in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, & six sigma.
You’ll be a proactive individual with the ability to operate strategically and tactically, and able to effectively manage multiple challenges whilst maintaining high quality performance.
