The Disability Social Care 0-25 Service is recruiting a Social Worker for our Disabled Children’s Referral and Access Team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a lively and dynamic team which acts as the first point of contact for all new referrals for disabled children requiring a social care assessment across Cambridgeshire. The team regularly undertake safeguarding enquiries and therefore experience of statutory safeguarding practice is required.
We are looking for a qualified social worker with at least 1 year post qualifying experience who is highly motivated, experienced and committed to working with Disabled Children and their families. The role offers excellent training opportunities and a chance to play a real part in the creation of something great.
We believe in giving Young People and their Families choice, control and flexibility in how they manage their support needs, and the right to access inclusive services and be part of their own community. Social workers will be expected to use Person Centred Planning approaches in seeking the views, wishes and feelings of the children and young people.
Our Buttsgrove office is situated in easily accessible locations, with great public and private transport links, especially from London and Peterborough. We also offer free parking.

You must be a qualified social worker with current SWE registration with at least 1 year post qualifying experience of working with children and families or disabled adults, with an understanding of relevant statutory frameworks, proven knowledge of child development and the ability to implement effective interventions with children and families. You must be willing and able to work throughout the Cambridgeshire area.
