2nd Line Support Engineer

My financial services client based in Surrey are recruiting for an 2nd Line Support Engineer with 3 years commercial experience within 2nd Line Support / Windows 7 / Windows 10 / Windows Server 2008/2012 / Extensive Powershell and GPO management skills / Exchange Server (2013, Exchange Online) configuration & administration / Security / VLAN / Cisco / VOIP / VMWare / Hyper-V

Providing 2nd Line Support, general operating support to users, system housekeeping and security to the business in relation to its software, infrastructure, personal and other computerised facilities as well as project based work.

2nd Line Support Engineer Essential Skills

3 + years' experience in in an IT Service role in Help Desk 2nd line support
Experience in a service desk environment operating with SLAs, KPIs, CSAT and proper escalation processes
In depth knowledge of commercial ITSM tools i.e. Solarwinds MSP, Autotask, Service Now (Ticket triage, Automations, workflows, incident & problem management, change management)
In depth knowledge of RMM tools utilised for monitoring, auto-healing, patching etc (Kaseya, Solarwinds RMM, Datto RMM, ConnectWise Automate, NinjaRMM etc)
Exchange Server (2013, Exchange Online) configuration & administration
Extensive Powershell and GPO management skills
O365, MS Teams, & Sharepoint on line Management
Experience in a Windows server environment, 2008R2, 2012, 2016 (Server Setup, Configuration, Management, Maintenance)
Understanding Virtualisation technology e.g VMWare, Hyper-V
Exposure to securities operations
Understanding of network topology VLAN's / Wi-Fi / TCP/IP
Experience with Software Licensing
Ability to prioritise workload effectively
Working knowledge of supporting a VOIP telephony system.
A keen attention to detail
Calm and efficient under pressure
Ability to resolve issue independently and as part of a team
Able to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels
The ability to respond to enquiries promptly and accurately2nd Line Support Desirable Skills:

Understanding of SSL certificate creation & Application
Understanding of IT Security concepts, patching, system hardening & A/V.
Exchange 2013 and newer
Microsoft Azure configuraition and administration
SQL configuration / management
