Your future role
Take on a new
challenge and apply your electrical systems engineer expertise in a
new cutting-edge field. You’ll report to Electrical System Manager and
work alongside dedicated and passionate teammates.
You’ll support existing fleets with requests that come from
the Depots, vehicle owners and operators. Day-to-day, you’ll work
closely with teams across the business to solve issues that arise from
Obsolescence or Reliability for new or upgraded vehicle systems and
much more.
We’ll look to you for:
- Specifying one or more train functions, and
associated sub-system(s) at train level and
- Lead
technically the engineering studies to reach the required performances
at train level. Including the generation of Modifications/Requests
for Trial/Risk Assessments and Feasibility Studies and then support
implementation on the vehicles on site.
- List of typical
vehicle Sub-Systems are:
- Heating, Ventilation and Air
Conditioning
- Passenger Information Systems / Seat
Reservation / WiFi
- Door Control
- Lighting
- Vehicle Couplers
- Traction/Auxiliary Systems
and Battery Charging
- Braking Systems
- Control / Monitoring / Diagnostic systems
- The
successful candidate will be required to work at height and in
enclosed spaces from time to time.
