Job Description We are hiring for an Affordability Assessor to join our New Business department. You will be responsible for confirming the affordability by carrying out income and expenditure checks for all bank statement applications. This role is 37.5 hours per week on a shift pattern between the hours of 8am - 8pm Monday to Saturday (1 in 3 Saturdays). Salary - Up to £19,500 What you'll do in this role: Review bank statements to ensure applicants information matches from bank statements to application and to ensure bank statements themselves fall in line with criteria Review bank statements to identify applicant's income against occupation and to enter identified income onto the inhouse system, ensuring the correct values and frequencies are identified Review overall affordability against a set of criteria to ensure correct affordability is provided to our brokers before an application is submitted to payouts Reject affordability applications if the application does not meet the requirements, indicating what element of the application is missing or incorrect When affordability applications do meet all the criteria and information is entered onto our in-house system, to confirm affordability and acceptance to our brokers Adhere to the FCA Conduct rules Qualifications We're looking for: Essential: Exceptionally high level of attention to detail, possess high energy levels and be able to demonstrate excellence in best practice Able to apply business rules and criteria with 100% consistency and accuracy.
