Ambulatory Equine/Farm Animal Vet Required

Ambulatory Equine (80%)/farm (20%) assistant required to complete our 5 vet ambulatory team (NB no TB testing).

Experience is strongly preferred but recent grads will be considered.

Cases include principally pleasure & competition horses but some stud and race work if interested. Farm work is mostly “fire brigade” work.

With the help from our ambulatory equine technician you will be encouraged to work up cases as far as possible using either our; wireless digital X-ray machine, battery powered URT endoscope or gastroscope, diode or therapeutic laser, choice of 3 scanners or battery powered dental kit. We also have a comprehensive in-house blood machine.

Come and join our enthusiastic dedicated team. You will have the full support from the 2 partners, 2 other assistants and the many support staff behind the scenes.

Swanspool Veterinary Clinic (Wellingborough, NN8 2BT) is a mixed practice of 12 vets in total and 35 other staff, which includes a team of 13 experienced nurses.

We have a 150 year history and reputation as being a very good first opinion practice and we are passionate about maintaining that reputation.

Candidates must be dedicated, genuine team players with a passion for providing the best service they can for all their patients and their owners.

The rota is shared equally between the 5 equine vets. You will get 5 weeks holiday, plus 3 days CPD, and a long weekend off every 5 weeks.
