Working alongside the Psychologist team, you will support them by assisting to create and formulate individual interventions and care plans to support people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism, Mental Health Issues, Personality Disorder needs to have a brighter future.

As a Psychologist Assistant, you will assist with running therapeutic groups and building individual reports with people to create a safe environment to support their care plans. You will assist in the development of a psychologically-based framework of understanding and care to the benefit of all people at HealthLinc House , across all settings where care takes place.

With a strong emphasis on teamwork, you'll receive support from a regional network of healthcare professionals and enjoy access to a variety of training courses to support you reach your career goals.

Salary - £19693

Hours - 37.5

Your responsibilities

  • Contributing to psychological assessments
  • Providing psychological interventions on a 1:1 and/or group basis to patients, monitoring and reporting upon their effectiveness
  • Assisting in designing and delivering specialist training to others
  • Maintaining clinical databases as required
  • Completing outcome measures as required
  • Writing reports for various audiences
  • Service Evaluation and other Research tasks including collecting, analysing and reporting upon an array of statistics.
  • Undertaking clinically relevant audits
To be successful in this role, you'll need

  • 2:1 Psychology degree and be eligible for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS)
  • Previous experience of working in a clinical setting as Assistant Psychologist with individuals presenting with challenging behaviour or equivalent for at least 12 months
  • Creative thinking, clinical efficacy and a strong commitment to working with evidenced based models of therapeutic intervention.
  • To be computer literate
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills

HealthLinc House hospital provides a specialist service for men and women living with complex needs who may have a primary diagnosis of learning disability, mental health issues or personality disorder. We are able to support people with complex conditions, needs and risks who display behaviours of concern and pose challenges for services, including those with highly complex and severe challenging behaviour.

HealthLinc House Hospital is located in Welton, Lincoln. The location provides a more relaxed local environment than a busy inner-city setting to enable patients to engage in their therapeutic programme, thus increasing the pace of recovery and speeding up discharge.
