What you become part of:This is a strategic role within the functional leadership team with responsibility for the development and implementation of CCEP’s sustainability plan at a local BU level; leading the delivery of BU-specific sustainability and community partnership initiatives; and ensuring CCEP is positioned externally within the country as a sustainability leader. The scope of the job also includes a need to develop a close partnership with The Coca-Cola Company to execute joint action plans in some of these areas and to develop appropriate local reporting on the System progress on sustainability. The AD, Sustainability, will also develop a close working relationship with CCEP’s Sustainable Packaging Group.In particular the role will have responsibility the development and delivery of sustainability programmes and strategic partnerships in BU (both CCEP and System) with a particular focus on the environment, community and volunteeringWorking closely with the BU PACS team, and Director, PAC Commercial, to support the wider commercial agenda by overseeing strategic partnerships with customers and acting as a subject matter expert to support customer engagementBuilding a proactive engagement strategy with influential local sustainability stakeholders (including customers) to showcase CCEP’s sustainability credentials To act as the official CCEP external spokesperson on sustainability issues at a GB level – representing the business amongst senior level sustainability stakeholders, on relevant trade associations and sustainability thinktanks, and by speaking at conferences and conducting media interviews where appropriate. The role also requires the AD, Sustainability, to engage with all relevant internal stakeholders in CCEP and The Coca-Cola Company to help develop and evolve the corporate sustainability strategy and ensure full alignment of local plans.What to is Forward Ensure the implementation of CCEP’s sustainability strategy at a local level, working in close partnership with The Coca-Cola Company, CCEP’s Head of Sustainability and sustainability leads in other Business unitsIn particular, ensure the successful launch of CCEP’s new carbon reduction strategy across the BU and deliver a strong plan, with the Coca-Cola Company, for stakeholder engagement in the run up to the COP26 conference in Glasgow in November Provide support for corporate sustainability partnerships and projects, ensuring that BU interests are appropriately representedProvide strategic content to the local Communications and PA teams, support their work by integrating sustainability in their agendas and providing the appropriate subject matter expertise.Working with PACS and the Sustainable Packaging Group to refresh our approach to customer engagement Programmes & Partnerships Co-ordinate all sustainability initiatives from a BU perspective, acting as a central contact point for country-specific sustainability initiatives (including those which are non PACS-led)Lead the strategic development and execution of sustainability programmes, partnerships and sponsorship in BU (with a focus on community and the environment), in alignment with CCEP’s commitments and goalsWork with the Community Manager to deliver the BU community strategy – including community programmes and an employee volunteering programme – ensuring alignment with CCEP’s community strategyContribute, where appropriate, to key projects of The Coca-Cola Company Foundation on sustainability areasSupporting the Commercial AgendaWorking closely with the Public Affairs team, provide strategic support for the local customer engagement strategy, working in close partnership with CCEP’s commercial function and in alignment with CCEP’s sustainability strategyInitiate contact and sustain peer-to-peer relationships with priority strategic customer sustainability leadsProvide guidance and ideas for strategic sustainability partnerships with priority customers in support of commercial agendaSupport customer engagement and dialogue on sustainability issues, providing subject matter expertise as requiredStakeholder EngagementWork with Public Affairs team to build a proactive stakeholder engagement strategy, identifying strategic sustainability partnerships at a BU level, ensuring alignment with CCEP’s pan-European stakeholder engagement strategy.Act as the official CCEP representative and spokesperson on sustainability issues at BU level – including representation of CCEP amongst senior level stakeholders, trade associations, sustainability thinktanks and opinion leader organisations and external media Establish local sustainability partnerships and identify local engagement opportunities to support the communication of CCEP’s sustainability credentials externallyWork with CCEP’s Communications team and HR function to develop appropriate internal engagement programmes to showcase the company’s leadership in this area.CRS Reporting & DisclosureSupport CCEP’s sustainability reporting strategy – by developing country-specific content and case studies for CCEP’s annual corporate sustainability report as requiredSkills & E knowledge of all aspects of sustainability and a passion for the subject matter – with at least five years’ relevant experienceProven track record of building relationships with stakeholders at the most senior levelsExcellent communicator and confident public speakerGood contacts across media, Government, best practice bodies and NGOs Ideally, an indepth knowledge of the CCEP business and how the System operatesExcellent verbal and written skills – an ability to navigate complex technical information to develop clear and compelling communication materialsFluent in English
