About Ian Dunn Woodwork & Design Ian started his career in cabinet-making on graduating from the LSE in Medieval history. After studying at the London College of Furniture and an apprenticeship with a joinery firm in Chalk Farm, he set up Ian Dunn Woodwork and Design in 1981. Having been established in our workshop in Stannary Street, Kennington for 18 years we moved to a larger, more modern workshop in East Dulwich in 2004. The new workshop is fully equipped and we have a team of skilled craftsmen working with Ian to produce each commission. The office and design studio located above the workshop are managed by Ian's wife and business partner, Jacqui Gordon. What is a Virtual Hiring Event? The Company We are an Award-Winning Workshop, established in London for over 30 years, designing and making fine bespoke furniture for exclusive homes. We are based in South East London with over 7 000 sq. feet of fully equipped workshop space. Most of our projects are in the Central London area. The Job. We are currently recruiting for a Cabinet Maker to join our team to work primarily on-site fitting bespoke cabinets to an excellent standard. This exciting position for a Cabinet Maker offers an opportunity to work on a variety of innovative projects in a key role, with a good salary and financial incentives for success. Key Skills * 3-5 years working in a workshop * Trained and experienced on the bench and working with machines. * High level of skill and attention to detail * Able to work to agreed deadlines to a high standard. * Able to work from production drawings * Able to work on initiative as well as part of a team. * Good Communication skills * Own hand tools. * Experience fitting high-end bespoke cabinets preferred This is a full time and permanent position with an initial trial period.
