Email Marketing Executive


Our client is a leading European online retailer and they are looking for an enthusiastic Email Marketing Executive with experience of managing the scheduling of regular email campaigns from creation through to execution. Ideally, a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and would love to experience being part of a rapidly growing eCommerce business. In the role of Email Marketing Executive you will be undertaking all aspects of the process including idea generation, writing campaign briefs, email building, testing, customer segmentation, scheduling, analysis and reporting. You’ll be familiar with the more advanced aspects of email marketing such as segmentation, dynamic content, split testing and journey building. This role will appeal to you if you have a passion for analysing and optimising email performance to generate both an excellent ROI and an engaging customer experience.  Role & Responsibilities This a temporary 6-month position, reporting to the Head of Customer Retention, supporting the CRM/retention team during a migration to a different email service provider. As the Email Marketing Executive, you will: Creating marketing emails for all 8 of the countries the company operates in, ensuring they are built to a high standard, tested and deployed Corresponding with the relevant stakeholders to ensure email campaigns are clearly briefed to the copy and design team and assets returned to the deadline Building customer segments for targeted promotional campaigns Using dynamic content within emails to create a personalised experience for the customer Supporting the Email Lifecycle Manager with the modification/optimisation of automated journeys Setting up promotional codes and links for special email offers Contributing to the development of the email marketing strategy Analysing the performance of individual and program level email campaigns and reporting back to the wider team Experience & Skills The key requirements we’re looking for in your application as Email Marketing Executive: Experience of at least 1 year in an email marketing role (preferably for an eCommerce business) Skilled in using an ESP to build and schedule emails, as well as create targeted customer segments Familiar with email best practice, industry trends and regulations (GDPR & PECR) Experience of using Google Analytics or similar web analytics tool Strong analytic skills with excellent attention to detail Great communication, organisational and teamwork skills Our client is also looking for… Experience of DotDigital (previously Dotmailer) and Fresh Relevance platforms A basic understanding of HTML Benefits on offer to the successful Email Marketing Executive candidate: 25% staff discount on all company products Personal training and development Summer & Christmas parties as well as regular social events Free fruit and refreshments Life Assurance Company matching pension, paying up to 4% Share Incentive Plan Employee Assistance Programme Health cash plan Season ticket loan Cycle to work scheme Ideal central location, 1 minute from Zone 2 underground station Share this job Refer a friend If we successfully place someone you have referred to us, we will give you £200 as a thank-you!
