Job description We are in search of a permanent Equine Nurse to join a fantastic independent practice near Chelmsford Essex. This a permanent, full-time position based at a fantastic purpose built clinic, with occasional travel required for medication and bandage replacements. The practice offers routine care, dental care, lameness assessments, diagnostic imaging, surgery, therapeutic surgery, laboratory services, stallion inspections, reproduction, pre purchase examinations, export certificates and some racing work. Applicants must have experience of working in equine practice, and must be competent in handling young and unpredictable horses, whilst adhering to the practice's health and safety guidelines. Key Details: Role: Equine Veterinary Nurse Hours: Full-time Weekdays: Shifts are 8am to 4pm, 9am to 5pm or 10am to 6pm Weekends: 1 in 5 weekends on call OOH: 1 night per week and 1 in 5 weekends Team: Large team of experienced equine vets plus nursing and support staff Package: Salary from 19,000 to 26,000 pro rata DOE RCVS fees 29 days' annual leave including bank holidays Overtime pay RCVS fees covered CPD allowance Must haves: RCVS registered and qualified Possess the right to work in the United Kingdom Excellent communication skills Passion for equine welfare
