Job description
Reporting to the Facility Director, Europe, you will manage all our capital improvement investment projects at the Shurgard facilities and stores across our UK portfolio. You will identify Repair & Maintenance needs and install programs to ensure an optimally maintained store portfolio taking into account the budget, time schedule and Shurgard standards. You will obtain an efficient energy consumption based on the need of the portfolio.He/she reports to Facility Director EuropeYou develop strategic asset plans for existing properties: developing scopes of work, cost analyses, and budget projections necessary to maintain company assets in accordance with acceptable standards. You identify and qualify vendors as well as contracting and ultimately monitoring vendor work performance. You develop and maintain schedules of work and forecasts for completion dates as well as costs vs. budgets. You create processes in coordination with field operations to ensure timely execution. You research and implement products, processes and services for continuous improvements in the delivery of results. You assist with due diligence for acquisitions as needed, conform the Shurgard guidelines.
Profile (ex. Education, experience, competencies, etc)
EducationYou have a Bachelor degree in Construction (e.g. Architecture, Civil Engineering, Industrial Engineering) or similar through experience.ExperienceYou have at least 5 years of proven project management experience in construction or facility management, preferably on a multi-location basis.A proven track record of success in multi-location asset management.CompetenciesTranslates the company strategy or a given strategic direction to team.
