Facilities and Property Maintenance Apprentice, Hull, £6.63 per hour plus benefits. 37.5 per week.

*There is limited public transport to get to our location in Melton, which is approximately 10 miles from Hull City Centre. You will need to consider this before proceeding with an application.*

Due to business growth, we are now looking to appoint a Facilities and Property Maintenance Apprentice to strengthen our team.

As the Facilities and Property Maintenance Apprentice, you will be responsible for the following:

Provide administrative support to the Facilities and Property Maintenance department
Support teams in the delivery of its objectives demonstrating a ‘can do’ attitude and adopting a flexible and resourceful approach.
Working with the in-house property maintenance system.
Dealing with confidential information.
Data entry and updating information.
Answering of telephone queries from shops, colleagues and other members of staff.
Scanning, photocopying, updating files, dealing with internal and external post and other basic office duties which will increase in level of responsibility as the role progresses.
Any other duties. 

Essential Skills, Experience and/or Quali

Interest in working in a busy facilities and property maintenance environment.
Good IT literacy (good working knowledge of Excel, Outlook and Word).
Good organisation skills, able to prioritise and work effectively to deadlines within a sometimes pressurised environment.
Good oral communication skills. Ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels of seniority, liaise effectively with other internal departments and external contacts.
Good interpersonal skills, able to empathise, maintain professionalism, display patience and politeness within a sometimes pressurised environment.
A flexible and ‘can do’ working style.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills.
Ability to work as part of a team, on own initiative and with minimal supervision.
