Joining from its launch you will be integral to the image and experience of the patients using this facility.

The role not only requires a confident, creative individual with a warm and adaptable approach, but someone who is able to produce high end menu adapted to patient needs where necessary. A versatile manner to accommodate all people’s needs.

You must be professional and have a proven and consistent work history in managing all aspect of the kitchen and leading the cooking and delivery of meals.

You must be experienced in including preferences, special diets and foods as needed
Prepare and serve all meals, in a timely manner
Make up duty rotas for catering staff, ensuring there are enough skilled staff on duty
Ordering supplies for the catering operation from specified suppliers, maintaining budgets
Operate an efficient stock control system
Ensure equipment supplied is used with care, in accordance with suppliers’ instructions and training
Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any faults immediately. If any machine is felt to be dangerous, withdraw it from service immediately
Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of those individuals they support
Assist in the recruitment of staff
Induct new starters
Lead, motivate and direct staff
Under supervision of the manager, carry out annual staff appraisals for catering staff
Conduct staff supervision and personal development plans for catering staff

To apply you will need;

RQF Diploma/City and Guilds/HNC in cookery

Qualifications in textured modified food

Qualifications in serving moulded food

Proficient Written Skills

Ensure accurate, legible records are kept

Ensure compliance with statutory and Care Solutions (East Anglia) Ltd requirements on food hygiene, storage and temperature control

Budgetary Skills

Ensure all catering ingredients and equipment is purchased within budgetary constraints

Manage waste effectively

Communication Skills

Regularly seek feedback from people and plan changes according to feedback

Attend regular meetings to keep abreast of views and expectations
