We are looking for a truly exceptional HR professional to join our Central Services Team. Reporting to the HR Director, the Head of HR will oversee the day-to-day running of the HR department (managing a team of Advisors, Recruitment Manager and Administration). Responsibilities include enhancing the employee experience through the full employee lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be a skilled HR practitioner (CIPD qualified), with strong generalist experience. An inspiring role model and excellent people manager with great collaborative and influencing skills who can support the continuous development of the HR function. Experience of working in an education environment would be an advantage. The role will focus on: leading, motivating and developing the HR team; advising and managing complex employee relation cases; leading restructures; TUPE and redundancy; supporting the recruitment, retention and development of all staff to fulfil their potential; providing excellent administration. The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to: ● Running the HR function and delivering the HR agenda ● Creating and sustaining the right culture ● Training and development of employees at all levels ● Enhancing the employee experience, incorporating equality, diversity and inclusion in all activities ● Developing a culture that embraces employee well-being ● Operate effectively at both strategic and hands-on tactical levels ● CIPD qualified to level 7 ● Competent in HR Information Systems, knowledge of iTrent ● An awareness of Payroll legislation and processing requirements ● Recent experience as an HR Manager in a multi site, fast paced environment ● Proven track record of successfully running and delivering projects with significant business impact ● A proven ability to develop a professional HR team ● Demonstrable knowledge of employment legislation and regulations ● Proven track record of successfully managing employee relations ● Awareness of regulations appertaining to Academies and Teachers ● A passion for excellent systems of education ● Examples of enhancing the employee experience ● Ability to inspire and motivate others and a keen interest in helping people to progress and develop ● Ability to manage a varied and demanding workload in a fast paced, people and customer centric environment ● Critical thinking ability with strong organisational, time management and problem solving skills ● Ability to drive processes forward in a clear, concise and appropriate manner ● Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and thoroughness ● Ability to meet stringent deadlines without compromising quality ● Proficient in managing competing priorities and multi-tasking in a constantly changing environment ● Confidence in having courageous conversations to improve performance ● Ability to mentor and coach ● Ability to build and sustain productive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders ● Excellent communication skills both written and verbal ● A professional and positive attitude ● Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidential information ● Innovative and forward thinking To be successful in this role the ideal candidate will have the following experience, skills, qualifications and knowledge: To apply for this role please complete the online application found via the application button below.
