Salary: According to National Police Pay Scales plus Allowances Description of Department: The NPST is a nationally funded unit that supports the delivery and the ongoing success of Project Servator for forces around the country.The unit is responsible for the continuing development of Project Servator for police and See Check and Notify (SCaN) for the public, working closely with National Counter Terrorism Policing HQ. Purpose of the Role: The Community and Business Engagement Sergeant in the National Project Servator Team is responsible for leading on the quality and consistency of the community engagement component of Project Servator and See, Check and Notify (SCaN). The post holder will coordinate, develop and quality assure national SCaN training, build relationships between police and private industry and assist forces through the provision of support and mentoring. They will support forces across the UK in implementing Project Servator by undertaking engagement with business and industry at a national level. Reporting to the Inspector NPST, the post holder will also manage two PCs responsible for the delivery of SCaN and other related training. Essential Criteria – including the behaviours that will be tested at application/interview: Demonstrable ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with other forces, stakeholders and partners.Especially with business/industry at a strategic level. Excellent communication and presentation skills, demonstrated to a variety of audiences. Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to work with minimum supervision in a pressurised environment. High degree of flexibility in moving between tasks and roles as business priorities dictate. Ability to work as part of a team. Exceptional organisational ability to generate and manage own work-load and that of team members. Recent and extensive experience of Project Servator deployments and training delivery essential. Experience of developing and delivering training packages is essential. Ability to develop and create new ideas and better ways of working. The criteria above will be demonstrate the following competencies at Level 2: We are emotionally aware We take ownership We are collaborative We deliver support and inspire We analyse critically We are innovated and open minded Types of Qualification(s) needed: N/A Desirable Criteria (If applicable): Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET) is desirable, or a willingness to complete the qualification is essential. Current Project Servator officer (DEO) and operational commander (DEOp) qualifications are essential. A willingness to become a trainer in the Project Servator syllabus is essential.
