Mae Adran Sgrinio Iechyd Cyhoeddus Cymru yn recriwtio i rôl Pennaeth Rhaglen ar gyfer Rhaglen Sgrinio Ymlediadau Aortig Abdomenol Cymru (WAAASP). Mae hon yn rôl genedlaethol gyda chyfrifoldeb am reoli'r rhaglen yn weithredol, a sicrhau bod gwasanaeth o ansawdd uchel a theg yn cael ei ddarparu i Gymru gyfan.Mae Rhaglen Sgrinio Ymlediadau Aortig Abdomenol Cymru yn gwahodd dynion 65 oed i gael eu sgrinio ar gyfer ymlediadau aortig abdomenol (a gwyliadwriaeth yn ôl yr angen), gan wahodd tua 16,000 o ddynion y flwyddyn. Nod y rhaglen yw lleihau marwolaethau o ymlediadau aortig abdomenol wedi'u rhwygo 40% yn y dynion a wahoddir i'w sgrinio, erbyn 2025.Bydd yr ymgeisydd llwyddiannus yn arwain ar reoli a datblygu'r rhaglen. Bydd yn aelod allweddol o'r Uwch Dîm Rheoli adrannol ac yn meithrin perthnasoedd ar draws y rhaglenni yn ogystal â chyda rhanddeiliaid allweddol o feysydd eraill o Iechyd Cyhoeddus Cymru a sefydliadau eraill gan gynnwys pob Bwrdd Iechyd ledled Cymru.Mae'r Adran Sgrinio yn rhan o'r Gyfarwyddiaeth Gwasanaethau Iechyd Cyhoeddus yn Iechyd Cyhoeddus Cymru. Fel rhan o Iechyd Cyhoeddus Cymru, rydym yn ymrwymedig i weithio i gyflawni dyfodol iachach i Gymru. Mae'r Adran Sgrinio yn cyflwyno'r saith rhaglen sgrinio genedlaethol seiliedig ar boblogaeth yng Nghymru (Bron Brawf Cymru, Sgrinio Coluddion Cymru, Sgrinio Serfigol Cymru, Sgrinio Smotyn Gwaed Newydd-anedig Cymru, Sgrinio Clyw Babanod Cymru, Sgrinio Llygaid Diabetig Cymru, Rhaglen Sgrinio Ymlediadau Aortig Abdomenol Cymru) ac mae'n rheoli rhwydwaith clinigol Sgrinio Cyn Geni Cymru.Mae pandemig Covid-19 wedi cyflwyno rhai heriau i'r Adran Sgrinio. Mae WAAASP wrthi ar hyn o bryd yn gweithio tuag at adfer y rhaglen yn llawn yn dilyn oedi mewn gwahoddiadau dros yr haf oherwydd y pandemig. Mae'r Adran Sgrinio yn gweithio gyda'i gilydd ar draws y rhaglenni i ddod o hyd i'r ffyrdd gorau o ddarparu'r gwasanaethau pwysig hyn, tra'n cadw ein defnyddwyr gwasanaethau a'n staff yn ddiogel.Mae deiliad presennol y swydd wedi'i leoli yn Llantrisant ond rydym yn fwy na pharod i drafod newid safle i ran arall o Gymru.Mae'r gallu i siarad Cymraeg yn ddymunol ar gyfer y swydd hon; mae croeso cynnes i siaradwyr Cymraeg a/neu Saesneg ymgeisio.I gael rhagor o fanylion neu i drefnu trafodaeth anffurfiol cysylltwch â Sikha de Souza, Ymgynghorydd Iechyd Cyhoeddus ( ).The Screening Division of Public Health Wales is recruiting to the role of Head of Programme for the Wales Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme (WAAASP). This is a national role with responsibility for operational management of the programme, and ensuring high quality and equitable service provision to the whole of Wales.The Wales Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme invites men aged 65 for screening for AAA (and surveillance as required), inviting approximately 16,000 men a year. The aim of the programme is to reduce deaths from ruptured AAA by 40% in the men invited for screening, by 2025.The successful candidate will lead on the management and development of the programme. They will be a key member of the divisional Senior Management Team and will build relationships across the programmes as well as with key stakeholders from other areas of Public Health Wales and other organisations including all Health Boards across Wales.The Screening Division is part of the Public Health Services Directorate of Public Health Wales. As part of Public Health Wales, we are committed to working to achieve a healthier future for Wales. The Screening Division delivers the seven national population based screening programmes in Wales (Breast Test Wales, Bowel Screening Wales, Cervical Screening Wales, Newborn Bloodspot Screening Wales, Newborn Hearing Screening Wales, Diabetic Eye Screening Wales, Wales Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening Programme) and manages the Antenatal Screening Wales clinical network.The Covid-19 pandemic has brought some challenges for the Screening Division. WAAASP is currently working towards full reinstatement of the programme following a pause in invitations over the summer due to the pandemic.
