**HR ADVISER - Schools Team**
**Full time (37 hrs per week) - Part time, term time only / other flexible working options will be considered)**
**Grade G (£22,627 - £24,982 pro rata)**

The world of education is a rapidly changing environment presenting challenge and opportunity. We are a responsive, solution-focused service providing over 400 educational settings across and beyond North Yorkshire (including to Academies, Independent Schools and Early Year settings) with a high standard of professional HR advisory support. As a traded service, we rely on buy-in from our customers and this requires commercial awareness to keep our offer competitive in the marketplace. Our successful commercial approach has led to an expansion of the service and has attracted national recognition in the form of several high profile industry awards.

This is an exciting role, ideal for graduates and those looking to enter the world of HR or those wanting to build on existing HR experience. The post holder will be the main first point of contact delivering high quality, commercial HR advice on HR policies, procedures, governance and terms and conditions. A key part of this role will be to lead on absence management cases. You will need to demonstrate a coaching style, taking a risk-based approach to enable schools to deal with their staffing issues. Confidence and resilience are important attributes for post holders as there are conflicting demands and priorities.

We are a busy team normally based at County Hall in Northallerton but currently all successfully working from home thanks to our excellent IT infrastructure and kit. The ability to travel across the county to deliver our service when required is, however, essential as the post holder may spend up to 50% of their time working with schools across the patch.
