Income Officer - Local Operations Wood Green, London - Covering South & South West London, focusing on the Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth, Southwark & Wandsworth areas - remote working with extensive travel and some occasional attendance at a local office / hub as and when required £33,398 per annum (rising to £35,156 after 12 months service subject to satisfactory performance) 37.5 hours per week - Monday to Friday Why work for us? We have an excellent opportunity for an Income Officer in our Local Operations team. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for providing a high quality income and debt recovery service to a designated area. Managing a caseload, you will utilise your customer service skills to make contact with customers in arrears to maximise income through negotiation and tenancy enforcement and where necessary, represent Sanctuary Housing at court hearings and other meetings. The role of Income Officer - Local Operations will include: Ensuring accounts in arrears are effectively managed Engaging with customers by conducting visits to ensure barriers for rent payments are addressed through the provision of high quality advice and support to maximise income Developing, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, residents, staff including housing and letting teams and a range of external organisations and agencies Meeting legislative and regulatory requirements for income management activities, attending court hearings and referring to policies and procedures where necessary Producing statistical information on performance against key performance indicators Extensive travel across your patch will often mean working remotely Skills and experience: Proven experience within a housing management, income and debt collection related environment Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Proven knowledge of relevant regulations, legislation and good practice is essential Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint) is essential Knowledge and experience of debt collection or benefits systems is desirable A strong ability to prioritise work load and able to work to deadlines Travel is a requirement of the role, therefore a full valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential Ready to join us?
