We’re now on a path to achieve the goal of two million people supporting The Guardian by 2022.That’s where you come in.We are looking for an Information Security Engineer to support the day to day Information Security Department activities and wider GNM Information Security Programme.About the roleAs an Information Security Engineer you will be responsible for:• Maintaining and optimise the existing Information Security tooling, develop new one• Implementing integration and automation routines to promote effective security operations• Running vulnerability scans, review results & eliminate false positives• Researching and assess new cyber security technologies, build proof of concepts as the need arises• Training junior team members• Supporting the Head of Information Security and Information Security Operations manager in planning future improvements of the existing security toolingAbout you• Minimum of 5 years information security or relevant experience• Programming and Software development experience (Any of the following - Python, Scala, Bash scripting)• A good understanding of GPG public key encryption and open source encryption solutions generally• Hands on experience with AWS security solutions• Nix engineering skillsDoes this all sound like you?
