International Associate Director - Ents Client Description Operating Company Job Title Planning Associate Director Department / Team NBCU International Location London Objective of the role The Associate Director role is the engine of the whole team! It requires working with the Universal client team and internal MediaCom team made up of a range of key disciplines that help us deliver a top-class service: Account Management, Strategic support, Plan Checking, Consumer Insight, Digital Coordination. This role is responsible for continuously improving client relationships as well as for the quality of communications planning and strategy output for Universal Pictures International, both at a central level as well as at a local market level. They will be managing a small team of planners responsible for day to day local market plan governance and reporting. They will jointly report into the strategy director and the and the network lead It requires a combination of strong strategic, operational and client servicing skills with the ability to work with a multifunctional team at head office and in local markets to deliver brilliant work. The Team We are incredibly proud of the long-standing relationship with NBCUniversal we have at MediaCom , spanning over 10 years. Of all their division which we work across, which include Home Entertainment, New Media, TV Networks and Hayu , Universal Pictures International l is by far the largest division in terms of budget internationally. The international team at MediaCom oversees local agency teams in EMEA, LATAM and APAC in over 20 different countries. Alongside the core UPI Account team, the AD will work with a Digital Director and a Strategy Director. This role will offer the chance to work on some of the most exciting upcoming film releases, such as Bond, Minions, Fast & Furious 9, just to name a few! Our client team is incredible fast-paced as the industry is ever changing, especially during these challenging times. We at MediaCom operate as an extension of the Theatrical client and have full visibility on all media projects. As innovation and strategic input become ever more relevant for most industries, we are now facing a very exciting period of change where we bring great new projects to life. . Key functions: Strategy and Planning - Manage the plan checking team who are responsible for 34 markets to ensure strategic quality and media best practice. Ensure that the central audience and channel strategy is applied whilst also allowing for local market nuance. - Support the strategy director in building media and platform landscape documents and marketing strategy guidelines for key titles. In this role you will be responsible for the strategy output for smaller titles. - Support the Digital Director on any digital strategy outputs such as industry landscapes and digital platform POVs. - Supporting our network with the best in class application and reporting against our planning tools, Systems Planner and Mscreen - Network Management - Lead share and inspire calls with markets and ensure knowledge and best practise is being shared throughout the Group M markets. - Build a strong relationship with our partner agency Essence who plan and run our trailer campaigns. Work with them to identify audience and data strategies that can be deployed in the trailer and in the main campaign. - Support AD with annual finance reporting by managing all market’s updates in a timely fashion Team and Account Management - Build strong relationships with client marketing teams at NBC Universal and to help maintain the client relationship for Universal Pictures. - Manage team objectives and identify training needs for 2 direct reports - Responsible for central account team delivery ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner with a high-quality output Skills Required Strategy and Comms Planning Strong understanding of the planning tools and media mix Understanding of audience frameworks Account Management · Good analytical thinker and ability to think more broadly and strategically · Excellent attention to detail · Clear written and communication skills Digital: · Strong understanding of key international digital media owners such as Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter · Some understanding of programmatic channels · Passionate about digital marketing General: - A genuine passion for film and entertainment ABOUT MEDIACOM Welcome innovators, initiative takers and instigators.
