We have a current requirement for a Job Coach to work within our Teesside branch Position Title: Job Coach Purpose of the Job Coach: * To support candidates to access work placements and progress into paid employment or further training opportunities * To actively promote the services of HeyTalent through the creation of external partnerships and the development of internal processes. * As our Candidate Job coach you must be able to assist the jobseeker in identifying personal interests, which lead to a job of choice in the community. * You must find out what is important to the individual? Are there any particular non-negotiables related to employment? * The information can be gathered using person-centered planning meetings or activities or less formally through conversations. * You must understand the business community and how everyone’s Talent add value to the workplace. * You must support and assist our candidates today instead of requiring the individual to get ready for a job someday! Job Coach Key Responsibilities: * Actively support candidates who are looking for employment, providing them with job search skills, interview skills, support within work placements, training and support in the classroom, video call and other experiences in order to facilitate their achievement of identified goals. * Schedule one to one time and workshops to continually assess each candidate both formally and informally to create an adaptable, personalised employability plan. * Provide continual support and guidance, ensuring the progression of candidates after entering paid employment. * Demonstrate innovative approaches to employer engagement through marketing and promotion in order to identify and secure potential opportunities for both paid employment and work experience placements. * Develop partnerships with local organisations to facilitate referrals and additional support. * Gather and relay information between staff, project partners and providers of work placements. * Create and maintain necessary paperwork and documentation to support and evidence the project using IT based systems. * Coordinate with other staff to prioritise and distribute workload ensuring that each candidate is provided with the appropriate levels of support. * Demonstrate a commitment to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults. * Comply with HeyTalent policies e.g. Safeguarding, Equality & Diversity and Health & Safety Person Specification: Experience * Experience of working effectively with candidates, including young people who are not in Employment, Education or Training (Essential) * Experience of establishing networks and developing, managing and delivering projects with various stakeholders including the private, voluntary and statutory sectors. * Experience of developing and delivering programmes of activities with candidates both individually and in groups which enables them to pursue their learning to enhance their future development. Abilities, Skills & Knowledge * Ability to communicate effectively with candidates, colleagues, and other external contacts, at all levels, using a variety of media. * Ability to approach prospective employers and other stakeholders to create and maintain all necessary links and partnerships in support of the project. * Ability to organise own work and meet strict deadlines. * Ability to adopt a creative and flexible approach in all areas of the role. * Clear and concise report writing and verbal presentation
