Partnering with some of the biggest names in the IT industry this is the ideal opportunity for a talent IT Sales support professional to join one of the longest-running I.T. solutions and services providers in the UK. Focusing on providing UK and global enterprises industry leading services whilst championing new emerging solutions and technologies you can become an integral part of a business with offices located in the centre of London’s “Tech City”.

Due to company expansion plans and several internal promotions our client are now seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to take on an existing client base. Your job will be to maintain the existing business and work together with senior management and internal sales support to grow the business within the respective account base. You will be expected to develop relationships with existing contacts, ensuring the brand is getting as much business as possible via regular whitespace analysis, and develop new contacts to expand the breadth of business the company is transacting within these key accounts.

Key Account Manager – Responsibilities:

Reach and over-achieve GP margin threshold set based upon salary package Achieve gross profit margin target and other business set KPIs per month Work closely with marketing department on any campaign focus Develop strong/strategic relationships with both distribution and vendor partners Time/diary management; external client visits will be required Knowledge around industry Book and conduct face-to-face business meetings with existing and net new clients Generate and provide customer quotes Follow up on customer quotes Identify cross-selling opportunities

Key Account Manager – Required Attributes:

To succeed at this role, you will need to be highly confident on the phone, self-motivated, enthusiastic and target-driven. Our client require people with at least 4 years current experience of supplying IT solutions and services to the private sector. You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have successfully farmed accounts and must have a track record of increasing spend in existing/dormant accounts.

A minimum of 4 years’ current reseller experience Strong account management skills – farmer focused A good understanding of I.T. security, networking, data centre, EUC and HW / SW Ability to self-motivate and work in a sales-driven environment Ability to qualify effectively Strong negotiation skills Good telephone manner Ability to work successfully as part of a team
