Job details About the role More than just a job - working for Bath Spa University is a chance for you to discover, learn and grow. You will be working across the School of Education - a place where students, academics, Bath Spa teachers, classroom teachers, education practitioners and all who are interested in education come together in a community of research and practice. The School of Education offers taught postgraduate courses which are flexible and modular, with specialist pathways and opportunities for students to engage in practitioner research.  You will be asked to contribute to the existing SpLD/Dyslexia course at Masters level and also have a role in developing new modules and courses in this area and more broadly in the field of education and inclusion at both undergraduate and postgraduate. Your role will also include supporting students in completing the Professional Practice element of the postgraduate course which is required for the British Dyslexia Association qualifications: Approved Teacher Status (ATS), Approved Practitioner Status (APS), Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA), and Assessment Practising Certificate (APC). We’ll also support you in maintaining a strong research and publication profile, enable you to build internal and external networks and require you to seek access to external funding.  About us At Bath Spa University we work with one clear vision: to be a leading university in creativity, culture and enterprise. You will be someone who shares our values and commitment to social justice and student-centred teaching and learning. You will have a first and higher degree or be working towards higher qualifications. You will also have specialist knowledge in SpLD/ Dyslexia and inclusion, active Associate Membership of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA) and an active Assessment Practising Certificate (APC).
