Job Category: Engineering Job Location: Fareham, Hampshire, United Kingdom PETA Training are proud to be working with this company, looking to source an exceptional Maintenance Apprentice for their organisation. Working week: Monday - Thursday 09:00 - 17:00, Friday 09:00 - 16:30 (37 hours per week) Duties: * Travel U.K wide and possible international trips * Become competent maintaining Uninterruptible Power Sources (UPS) and Generators. * After training you will be inspecting installed units * Learn how to complete servicing and planned preventative maintenance * Become competent diagnosing faults and conducting repairs in line with company guidelines * Once competent you will be attending breakdowns identifying root causes of problems * Complete reports identifying all work undertaken * Work safely at all times * Build and maintain a range of plastic injection mould tools Other information: * Complete the 18th Edition qualification in addition to other apprenticeship outcomes * This role involves travel and possible overnight stays away. * You will need to hold or have plans to achieve a full driving license for this position. * You will eventually be on a call out Rota (with enhanced pay) Skills: * A basic knowledge of electrical and electronics will be advantageous * Good basic hand skills and an interest in maintenance is required * You will also need good communication skills, * A logical approach to problem solving * Ambitious with a strong team working ethos Personal qualities: * You will have good written and spoken communication skills be punctual, reliable and responsible * You will work well as a team member, be able to work effectively with a wide variety of people and be willing to assist when required * Well organised, good at planning ahead and can meet deadlines. * You will need to be focused and self-motivated Qualifications required: * GCSE Maths and English grades A* - C or Functional Skills Level 2 Benefits: * 20 days paid holiday and 8 statutory days holiday * Progression routes within the company for the right candidate * Free on-site car parking * Staff kitchen and eating area * Overtime available Future prospects: * A potential full-time career as they want you to become a valued member of their team along with support through a level 3 NVQ and site access qualification * National and international travel Training to be provided: Throughout the duration of the Apprenticeship you will be required to attend PETA's Havant training centre for off-the-job training. The majority of skills development training will be completed with your employer at your place of work. You will be day released for 13 months to complete a Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering (Foundation Competence) qualification at the PETA Ltd Engineering Training Centre in Havant
