Job DescriptionCONTENT DISTRIBUTION/LICENSING LAWYERTV AND FILM3 YEARS' PQE OR 5 YEARS' PQEWEST LONDONOur client provides finance, sales and advisory services to artists and content creators in film and TV (both scripted and non-scripted). We have an exciting new opportunity for a lawyer with television distribution and licensing experience to join the Business and Legal Affairs team.You will be part of a small, fast-paced and very busy team who provide a range of support in the acquisition and distribution of scripted and non-scripted TV series and formats, documentaries and digital media on an international scale.As part of your role, you will structure, draft and negotiate a range of agreements relating to the acquisition and distribution of content across multiple platforms. You will provide advice on underlying rights and must have a strong background in contract and commercial law, as well as a good understanding of copyright law, rights management and licensing.The business is expanding quickly and you will also support the International TV sales team. It's expected that you will deliver timely and high quality legal advice to the business in a practical and commercially focused way.We are open to considering lawyers from either private practice or in-house. You may have had experience working in or for a broadcaster, producer or major studio. Cultural fit will be paramount.This is an opportunity to work in a highly creative environment with smart, dynamic and friendly people who really enjoy what they do.
