NEACO Further Education College Coordinator (Fixed Term)
Applications are invited for the post of Network for East Anglian Collaborative Outreach (neaco) Further Education College Coordinator. The post-holder will be responsible for managing relationships with the eight Further Education (FE) Colleges who are part of the network.
neaco is one of 29 partnerships across England that have been funded as part of the Uni Connect programme to deliver outreach in areas where the higher education participation of young people is low - and much lower than expected based on GCSE-level attainment. The role is based in the neaco Central Team, part of the Cambridge Admissions Office. The University leads on this collaborative project involving five universities and eight FE Colleges around East Anglia.
The post holder will work closely with all eight FE college partners across East Anglia to help them engage effectively with the neaco programme; support them in the delivery of their Project Plans; support their financial reporting and data collection, and provide assurance to the University of Cambridge (as lead partner) that activity delivered is in line with guidance. They will coordinate, facilitate and deliver induction, training and networking activities for staff employed by the FE Colleges.
Applicants should have experience of working in an FE College or experience working closely with FE Colleges. The successful candidate will have a detailed knowledge of the structure and systems of UK FE Colleges, an understanding of the issues that affect access to higher education from underrepresented and disadvantaged students and possess outstanding communication skills.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 July 2021 in the first instance.
