**Purpose of**the Networking & Security Centre Lead Role**
- Operate a full-service Networking & Security resolver group for our Service Operations teams
- Ensure a well-balanced team to provide adequate resource for pre-booked networking & security pre-sales, design and implementation for Acora Professional Services projects
- In conjunction with the Platform team, own, maintain and continually develop networking and security
- Own the networking and security managed services offering, technology portfolio and vendor/distributer relationships
- Continually drive improvement in SLA/OLA performance, and technology, process and toolset innovation

**Key Responsibilities of our Networking & Security Centre Lead**
- Own, evangelise the benefits and continually develop the Acora networking & security managed service offering
- Support the networking and security managed service and transformation project pre-sales process
- Build key relationships with vendors and distributors to attain the best possible outcome for Acora’s growth and innovation
- Lead the Networking & Security Centre team, ensuring it is appropriately resourced and balanced technically
- Develop and own the networking and security managed service transition process and effort calculation
- Evangelise hybridisation of technical resources within the to ensure fluid and flexible usage of skills within all of Operations
- Develop and report on key performance indicators for the Networking & Security Centre
- Work with the Business Systems Team to ensure adequate monitoring of our customers’ networking & security infrastructure
- Work with Major Incident Management to control clear communication during unplanned outages involving supported networking and security infrastructure
- In conjunction with the wider Service Operation teams, ensure the Networking & Security Centre team achieves ensure all SLA and OLA targets
- Proactively drive cost optimisation for networking and security managed services customers

**Technical Skills**

You will be demonstrably competent in a wide variety of key technologies to properly provide the levels of expertise our customers require, including:

- Network Switching and Routing (Cisco Catalyst & Nexus, Dell N & S series, HP/Aruba)
- Firewalls and Security (Palo Alto PA/VM & Panorama, Cisco ASA/Firepower, Cisco Meraki, Juniper)
- Wireless Networking (Cisco Meraki, Ruckus)
- SD-WAN Solutions (Cisco Viptela, Palo Alto SD-WAN, Meraki)
- Remote Access Solutions (Cisco AnyConnect, Palo Alto Global Protect, Pulse Secure)
- Experienced in providing support within an ITIL framework, ideally within a dedicated networking & security function or resolver group
- Experienced in creating designs and advising at the pre-sales stage on the Networking & Security elements of a project, including detailed kit-lists of items required for deployment of the designed solution.
- Experienced in deployment to specification or standard and documenting the solutions installed including any deviations from the standard or design.
- Experienced in installing switching/routing/wireless and perimeter security for complex medium-sized corporate networks.

Demonstrable capability with in-depth troubleshooting experience of the following areas:

- LAN Switching, VLANs, 802.1q trunks, Spanning Tree (STP/RSTP/MST/PVST)
- Integrating LANs with 3rd party provided WAN Technologies (MPLS/VPLS/LES)
- Routing, Static, Dynamic (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP)
- IPSEC site-to-site VPN
- NGFW/Stateful Firewall Technology including the following features:

- URL Filtering
- Client VPN (SSL/IPSEC)
- QoS (Shaping/Policing/Marking)
- Wireless LANs (Standalone/Controller)

Working towards or holding vendor certification in any of the following areas:

- Palo Alto PCNSE
- Cisco CCNP Level in Routing & Switching/Security
- Ruckus WiSE
