Organic Analyst

Are you an Organic Analyst with experience of GCFID, Headspace and/or MSD user, including troubleshooting and maintenance?

Our client provides environmental analytical services predominately of soil and groundwater samples. You will be working in a UKAS and ISO 9001 standard accredited lab to cover day to day GCMS and GCFID instrument operations.

Key responsibilities:

Carry out technical work in accordance with procedures

Covering the day to day GCMS and GCFID instrument operations

Ensure all work completed is according to UKAS and QMS requirements

Calibration of all laboratory equipment

Carry out and document regular instrument maintenance

Process, calculate and check analytical results

Assist in sample preparation for various analysis

Maintain a high standard of housekeeping

Experience

The ideal candidate will be an experienced GCFID, Headspace and/or MSD user, including troubleshooting and maintenance. Agilent Chemstation experience would be an advantage.

The successful candidate may also need to assist in method development and Validation so any relevant experience would be an advantage.

Assistance in other parts of the laboratory may also be required.
