Site & Role specifics Our Bolton 24/7 community hospital is our largest location; the surgery is fast-paced and busy.As part of our continued growth and to support our veterinary staff, we are now looking for a Pharmacy Assistant to provide a high-quality pharmacy service to our patients. Within this role you will be responsible for taking in and dispensing prescriptions in accordance with dispensary and legal procedures; this will involve dispensing to a high specification of accuracy and in a timely manner.You will also be responsible for stock control within the pharmacy, including processing stock delivery, ordering and ensuring the quality of stock received, counts and rotation, along with appropriate storage. You’ll work within a close-knit team of vets, vet nurses and client services professionals, who are working together to shape the future of veterinary care. We’re looking therefore for a team-player, who will pitch in and help their colleagues with ad-hoc tasks. It’s essential that you share our vision for developing a not-for-profit service that continues to deliver good, affordable care to our patients. Core Skills We’re looking for our new Pharmacy Assistant to have experience of working in a pharmacy, with excellent customer care standards.You will be computer literate with excellent attention to detail.You will have experience of working to deadlines, and maintaining a high degree of confidentiality. Above all, it’s important to us that you’re a real team player who thrives from working in a busy surgery, with a can-do attitude that will embrace new ideas.
