Job Description Are you a leader in public health research? Passionate about the potential of linked data across health and its wider determinants? Motivated by generating evidence to inform policy and practice? If yes, then join our dynamic and collaborative Research and Evaluation Division, within Public Health Wales as the Programme Lead for Population Health Insights. This is a new and exciting opportunity to have impact and influence, within a supportive policy and practice context for health with the Well-being of future Generations Act and A Healthier Wales.As the Programme Lead for Population Health Insights, you will apply your expertise in using complex linked data across health and its wider determinants (e.g. employment, education, social support) to accelerate progress in the application of linked data within the context of population health. This will likely include a focus, in the first instance, on the direct and indirect harms of COVID-19. Drawing on your research leadership and excellent communication skills you will be identifying and fostering strategic partnerships with national and international organisations across academic, government and the third sector to help secure additional grant income in response to these areas.You will lead a rapidly growing quantitative research team including permanent and externally funded researchers and data scientists, and have an active role in leading the Divisional research agenda.
