It is an exciting time to be a leader in NHS Wales, helping shape the transformation required at pace and with purpose.The NHS Wales Delivery Unit (DU) provides professional support to Welsh Government to monitor and manage performance delivery across NHS Wales. A key role is support the Welsh Government’s Health Social Services Group on the transformation of planned care and outpatients.Do you have the skills, knowledge and capability to lead and support the outpatient transformation within NHS Wales?Working in the planned care area offers the opportunity for a talented individual to further develop their skills, experience, knowledge and leadership capabilities. The successful candidate will gain experience in a wide range of healthcare settings, influencing and delivering real change for the benefit of citizens in Wales. They will gain experience of working at all levels of the NHS, including opportunities to work with Welsh Government colleagues and be involved with national processes and policy development.Functionally the Project Manager will be responsible for managing the delivery of a number of projects for the full programme lifecycle from strategic design to project close and evaluation. Ensuring all projects and work streams are properly structured, reported on and tracked in order to deliver programme outcomes and benefitsYou will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to apply your experience in complex situations and have experience of working in a variety of healthcare environments/services. You will need to be able to engage and influence a range of stakeholders including executive leads and clinicians. Experience in Project management in the NHS would be desirable, although not essential.The post is based in Bocam park, Pencoed, home working is also possible.
