An award winning niche Manufacturer in the West Midlands are looking for an experienced Process Engineer to add to their already innovative team.

As part of a global group and with plans for further expansion - this is an exciting time to be part of this particular business who have made some major alignments with big businesses in Aerospace, Automotive & the Rail sector.

The business has a mutli-million sign off on site improvements and a capital equipment sign off.

The right Process Engineer will have a strong background in fast paced environments, continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma & a history of tangible achievements in a Manufacturing environment. Engagement with the shopfloor will be a key part of this role. 

Position: Process Engineer

Location: West Midlands

Salary: up to £40,000 per annum

commutable from Wolverhampton, Walsall, Birmingham, Kidderminster, Telford, Dudley, West Bromwich, Stourbridge

Reporting to the Operations Manager; the Process Engineer will be responsible for development and optimization of the manufacturing processes, reducing cost & the key element of reducing variability.

The role would be open to Manufacturing Engineers, Production Engineers, Project Engineers, Process Engineers, Continuous Improvement Engineer, Lean Manufacturing Engineers.

o The Process Engineer will be responsible for all technical input on all process related capital projects

o You will be responsible for the day to day running of a number of different projects including continuous improvement, cost reduction, waste reduction & productivity

o The ideal candidate will have previous project experience on optimizing processes on current manufacturing equipment, investigation of potential modifications to current equipment & investigation of new equipment & processes that maybe required for shop floor expansion

o You will be required to have a very strong Lean Toolbox with exposure to leading Six Sigma activities & engaging the shop floor to follow your example - A hands on approach is certainly required.

o Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering or Process Engineering

o The cultural fit; a strong business acumen - able to relate process improvements & investments in new equipment & experience of capital projects management as well being able to communicate with management, shop floor & suppliers
