JOB TITLE: Production operator engineer.
SALARY & BENEFITS: starting salary £26,000 - £29,000 incl shift pay
WORKING HOURS: 42.5 Hours per week rotating around 3 shifts 05:45- 14:15hrs, 13:45hrs-22:15hrs, 21:45hrs-06:15hrs - Full Time
Our client is a developing manufacturing company and had been established for over 40 years with some of the biggest brand household names. They pride ourselves at being at the forefront of compounding technology.
We are currently looking for a Process Operator to join our their team in High Peak, Derbyshire.
You will work as part of a team essentially making large volume recipes, placing the raw materials, into large hoppers and then once mixed, Compounding these blends into PVC pellets, bagging the finished goods, ready for the logistics team to ship directly to customers. This role offers great opportunity to advance within a successful growing company. The role is predominantly based in product manufacture but with the requirement to be able to assist with repairs and perform autonomous maintenance checks.
Key Responsibilities for the Process Operator:
* Working on manual and HMI driven machinery
* High focus on procedures, quality and efficiency
* Completing Autonomous maintenance and mechanical problem solving
* Looking for ways to improve the processes
* Good housekeeping
* Communication with various departments where necessary
* Communicating machine specific mechanical and electrical problems directly with the maintenance team and assisting with improvements and maintenance
The successful candidates for the role of Process Operator will preferably have experience of working in a factory environment. NVQ level 3 or higher in an engineering discipline essential. This would suit an individual with developing mechanical or electrical experience looking to develop within a production environment
You will need to be physically fit as the role requires a certain amount of lifting up to 25 kg bags. Full training will be given. We are looking for people who are enthusiastic and who are keen to learn.
