Product and Service Specialist - Global Scientific Company
A global service-based scientific service provider to pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academic clients is currently looking for a Product and Service Specialist to join their established team.
The Product and Service Specialist is required to develop a thorough understanding of the market and client needs, to enable the development of specific forecasting and sales budgets. The job holder is therefore a part of driving their service-based business, as such a positive solution-oriented approach is needed.
This role sits within client services in the business and is highly customer focused, hence good communication and presentation skills are important. Familiarity with using tools to track and predict demand would be useful along with good attention to detail.
The successful candidate will be able to document processes and use their insight to suggest appropriate amendments that will drive increased efficiency. Some experience of creating business quotations or tenders will be an advantage alongside a keenness to learn and deliver appropriate legal documents. Following thorough training the Senior Product and Technical Advisor will advise on products and services to multiple clients.
The role requires close cooperation with Specialists, Account Managers, Finance, Production, Customer Service Department and Management teams to promote effective delivery product and service needs to meet client expectations. Prepare the related forecast and sales budgets. This requires proactive identification of market trends and specific client needs to ensure a relevant, effective and efficient service business.
Assignments will involve work of a complex, financial and confidential nature. Alone and through convening and leading project teams:
- Promote good working practices and adhere to all company policies
- Contribute to continuous improvement and assist with the maintenance of an efficient SmartManagement system
- Ensure a safe and tidy work area
- Carry out other reasonable duties that may or may not be related to the job as required
- Business travel as required
- Degree qualified in Science related field essential
- Due to their location, own transport is essential
