Client: Global FMCG Manufacturer business expansion
£50 – 55k Plus Package and Bonus
Your aim:

Provide Quality Assurance, Safety and Environmental leadership of the Plant, reporting to the Site Lead. “80% of your scope will focus on quality assurance leadership”.

"A newly created role", responsible for the development, implementation of the Quality Assurance, Safety and Environmental function; to deliver product safety and quality conformance to Customer, Corporate and Regulatory requirements
Act as the technical expert on site and internal consultant. You will direct, lead, coach and influence site SHEQ matters
Pivotal in achieving site KPIs and driving a continuous improvement culture, to achieve high SHE standards. This includes maintaining compliance of manufacturing and site processes within all SHE legislative requirements
As a key member of the SLT, you will formulate and execute a strategic quality plan, covering quality systems management, safety and compliance
Develop and implement product safety and key QA programs, e.g. GMPs, Incident Management, complaint handling and environmental monitoring
Maintain customer quality satisfaction through leading the control raw materials, production process and finished products
Continuously improve the Quality performance of the site
Recruit, maintain and develop your quality and laboratory support team
Lead the development of risk management processes to ensure compliance with relevant legislation, corporate standards and policies
Lead processes that improve management competence and raise commitment to cultivating a proactive safety culture
Ensure Accidents and Near Misses are investigated to root cause , ensure timely completion of corrective actions and ensure that risk assessments are completed
Ensure that all site employees are competent to manage safety risk and compliance within their own areas of work
Provide line-managers with support in implementing risk management systems.
Ensure HSE risks and impacts are identified and rectified
Is this you?

Quality, Development and Safety background in FMCG
Experience of leading internal audits as well as third party audits
Strong leadership experience
Extensive knowledge of Quality Systems management
Understanding and experience of external standards e.g. ISO, GMP, HACCP, BRC Retail
Leadership of quality improvement programmes (could include QA system development)
Product development / implementation experience
SHE Qualification – NEBOSH / IOSH
Auditing / Environmental qualifications
