Regional ER Advisor
About The Role An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Human Resources Team at Sunbelt Rentals UK as a Regional ER Advisor. In this new role you will provide an ER advisory service to colleagues, line managers and employees in Sunbelt Rentals UK across the geographical area of the South of England. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you'll ensure that the HR function operates efficiently, effectively and in line with current legislation requirements and work closely with the wider HR team to deliver company-wide people initiatives and projects. With a strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR practices, you'll be an experienced ER case worker who is used to working autonomously and is well-versed in advising and coaching managers at all levels in relation to ER issues. An excellent communicator you will be able to demonstrate your ability to build relationships with and influence your key stakeholders. Based from home, the geographical area you will cover is from Stoke to Bodmin and regular travel to Service Centres across the area will be required. We anticipate applicants will be living in a location with good transport links to effectively operate in this regional role, for example the M4 Corridor. About You The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: Relevant HR qualifications (CIPD, or equivalent) Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR practices Significant experience gained working within a busy, fast paced business environment including experience of influencing management and stakeholders Confidence in dealing with various levels within the organisation Excellent communication skills Experience of successfully working independently with limited day to day support Generalist with strong experience in every aspect of employee relations Experience of TUPE transfers, mergers, acquisitions and organisational change Experience of delivery of HR policies and projects Presentation skills Coaching managers Your key competencies and capabilities will include: Able to respond quickly and positively to change Ability to build strong internal relationships Able to work as a team player, awareness of colleagues workload and cover of colleagues area/s during absence Organised and able to manage own time effectively Basic level of financial and operational knowledge Effective communicator and presenter – verbal and written, succinct and persuasive Ability to influence, challenging behaviours and ways of working Negotiation and conflict resolution skills Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities Taking control of own development and making it happen Able to challenge the status quo and come up with new ideas of working to benefit the team and wider business Self-motivated and resilient The role will predominantly be field based and you will be expected to hold a driving licence as frequent travel is required, which will involve overnight stays.
