What is the Role ? Due to a period of change, SSE Airtricity Gas NI is currently recruiting for two experienced Reporting & Control Analysts. As a Reporting & Control Analyst, you will support the Business Improvement Manager to drive high levels of performance and capability within SSE Airtricity Gas NI by acting as a coordination point to align and prioritise key performance outcomes across the organisation. This encompasses several crucial areas including: - Performance and Control Reporting - preparation of business KPI management reports, translating data into actionable insights/recommendations/key trends for improvement to the senior management team. - Management Reporting - preparation of business risk dashboards, creation of new models and high-quality dashboards, compliance and control reports. Translating data into actionable insights/recommendations for improvement to the senior management team. Monitor leading and lagging indicators of business performance and take timely action to drive business performance and ensure achievement of our business goals and regulatory requirements. - Working across the Business, develop and drive standardisation and adoption of best practice within common processes and operating procedures across the business, to ensure all departments are optimising their productivity and performance. You'll work closely with your colleagues and key business stakeholders in various departments to gather and document key functional requirements of identified needs to ensure new reports/models/dashboards fully support business requests. This is a good opportunity to also learn and understand more about our NIAUR (Regulatory) requirements and how we develop business plans to support these requirements in our projects. What do I need? To be considered for this opportunity, you should have experience in a similar performance/reporting role, or a background working in a numerical/financial/analytical area. The key to finding success in this role will be having the ability to take data (mostly numerical) and translate this into a format alongside key insights that the Senior Management team use to make decisions about our business. A curious mindset with the ability to proactively explore and resolve problems and an appreciation for data accuracy and presentation are also required. Ideally, you will hold a qualification in a relevant discipline with a strong numerical and analytical focus too, although this is not essential. Strong IT and analytical skills are required, including Advanced Excel (with Power Query), and Power BI. Experience of SQL is desirable, but not essential. You should able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the Energy industry, and the nature of our market. Your role will involve liaising and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders, therefore it is crucial that you have excellent communication skills, along with outstanding organisation and customer relationship skills.
