We are seeking Postdoctoral Research Associates in the general area of mobile health, mobile systems, mobile data machine learning to join the Mobile Systems team of Prof Mascolo. The project, funded by the Wellcome Trust and entitled "Mobile Sensing of Altered Everyday Function in Early Alzheimer's Disease (MEDEA)", aims to design and work with wearable and mobile data to explore how sensing systems can aid the early detection of Alzheimer's. It includes a multidisciplinary team involving neuroscientists, clinicians and computer scientists. We are seeking candidates with background in mobile health and mobile systems as well as ones with knowledge of machine learning, data analytics. Key requirements: Candidates should have been awarded a PhD (or be very close to submission of one) and a strong publication record in mobile health, mobile systems, mobile sensing data machine learning. Appointment at Research Associate is dependent on having a PhD (or equivalent experience is recognised), including those who have submitted but not received their PhD. Where a PhD has yet to be awarded, appointment will initially be made at Research Assistant and amended to research associate when the PhD is awarded.
The ideal candidates should also have good programming skills as the collaboration entails building tools and testing systems. Good communication, presentation and management skills are also desirable.
