UE07 Salary Range - £33,797 - £40,322 USHER Institute Full time (35 hours per week) Available from 01 July 2021 to 30 June 2022 The Centre for Global Health at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is looking for a Research Fellow experienced in large-scale systematic reviews and meta-analyses to work on Respiratory Syncytial Virus Consortium in Europe [RESCEU] project. The Centre for Global Health at the Usher Institute within The University of Edinburgh is looking for a Research Fellow experienced in large-scale systematic reviews and meta-analyses to work on Respiratory Syncytial Virus Consortium in Europe [RESCEU] project. The Opportunity: This is an exciting opportunity to work on the largest RSV consortium in Europe and contribute to the introduction of an RSV vaccine in the next 5 years. The post holder will take the lead on the work package on Systematic Reviews and Disease Burden Modelling. The Principal Investigators would be keen to support the development of the post-holder as an independent early career researcher. Informal enquiries may be directed to Professor Harish Nair, Chair of Paediatric Infectious Diseases and Global Health ( )Your skills and attributes for success: • PhD (or near completion) in epidemiology • Knowledge and experience of designing and conducting large-scale systematic reviews. • Knowledge and experience in conducting meta-analysis using appropriate software (e.g. STATA). • Excellent scientific writing skills, with a good publication track record (minimum three publications in peer-reviewed journals). • Knowledge of infectious disease epidemiology and RSV.
