Job DescriptionSales Area Representative: Automotive: South East UK Our client is the UK's largest supplier of commercial and emergency vehicle lighting systems, Lite-wire and aftermarket auto-electrical products. They also design and build their own range of bespoke products and offer a fitting service in the field. Their customers include a variety of fleet owners, body builders, repairers, fitters and hire companies over wide-ranging industries in the UK and abroad. Job Description They are looking for a sales-driven Sales Area Representative, responsible for nurturing and developing a number of postal areas in the South East, with a current annual turnover of £350K. Hitting retention and new business targets, you will work closely with Internal Sales, Marketing and Purchasing to grow your territory. You will represent multiple supplier ranges, selling into workshops, garages, van converters, specialist body-builders and agricultural plant customers. Job role * Farm existing customers through regular visits and relationship building * Hunt for new business to grow your territory * Meet sales-related KPIs, including meeting targets for retention, new business and customer engagement * Provide and follow up customer quotations, based on an understanding of their needs * Work closely with internal sales to chase outstanding customer orders and respond to customer queries * Work with Sales Operations to produce sales forecasts and budget planning information * Work closely with marketing to promote products, services and special offers * Use their rich source of CRM data to support customers, analyse trends and provide a consultative service * Update and maintain the CRM database with customer details, notes and outcomes of visits * Manage SoR stock as required at customer premises * Build relationship with suppliers to enable responsive and efficient customer support Preferred Strengths * Proven success in managing and growing accounts * Experience of selling into the automotive industry * An understanding of the sales process, managing territories and call cycles * A strong customer focus, with awareness of the needs of a business * Self-motivated and adaptable, with drive to succeed * Confident finding solutions for customers and overcoming objections * Strong communication and time management skills Package Up to £35K basic, plus generous uncapped 2-tier commission structure once initial growth targets have been met across allocated accounts, fully expensed company car, mobile, tablet, structured induction, training and support.
