Are you enthusiastic Scientist looking for a new challenge? Do you have at least 12 months industry experience related to Materials Science? Then this could be the role for you!

Our client, a CRO developing & manufacturing new drugs and medicines, are looking for an experienced Spectroscopist to join them & support their contamination department.

This is a 'hands-on’ position where you will:

* Support experimental design

* Undertake characterisation studies on a range of sample types, using a variety of spectroscopy instruments including FT-IR, SEM, XRD, microscopy and other material analysis techniques

* Work closely with other Materials Science experts and Project Managers to define work proposals and provide quality data.

Applications are invited from enthusiastic Chemistry/Materials Science graduates (or related) who have a minimum of 12 months industry experience using spectroscopy, microscopy, and/or any other material characterisation techniques.

You must be a confident communicator with the ability to work efficiently in a team environment. Experience within a GMP regulated laboratory is highly beneficial.

NB: This position is offered on a 12-month fixed term contract (Maternity cover).
