SEN Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant – KS2 – Black Country
Smile Education are working with a great primary school in the Black Country, looking to recruit a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their fun and supportive team on a temp to perm basis. This amazing opportunity would suit someone with an enthusiastic and patient nature with excellent communication skills and the understanding that no two days will be the same, so flexibility and being open to change is a must.

About You
You will enjoy working with other people day to day and be able to motivate and inspire both the students and your teammates when neededBe able to remain calm in stressful situations and have the basic ability to alleviate any strained circumstances in order to ensure the students comfortHold the ability to accept criticism and work well under pressureBasic knowledge of teaching / supporting teachers with SEN students

The Role
Full time, temp to perm£16,000 - £18,000 per annum DOEWorking with KS2 SEN students in a mainstream primary school, often working 2:1 or 1:1 to ensure the students success
The Responsibilities
Prepare learning materials under the supervision of the teacherWork inside or outside the classroom with individuals or groupsAdapt support according to needsLook after children's physical, social and emotional welfareCreate a stimulating environmentGive information and help to teachersKeep records and attend review meetings
