Title: Senior Android Developer
REED Technology have the pleasure of working with Cambridge Universities Department of Engineering in their search for a Senior Android Developer to join their team. The successful candidate will join the Department's Information and Computing Services Group (ICS) which is made up of more than 30 staff with expertise in networking, windows and linux systems, messaging, storage, printing and software development.
This is an ideal opportunity for an individual seeking a position where they will be exposed to a wide range of technologies in a busy and dynamic research environment, who enjoys interacting with customers and progressing their technical skills. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a high level of experience in a number of areas and have a willingness to develop expertise across the full range of skills required.
An ideal candidate would have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science or related fields, with demonstrable skills and experience in:Android mobile development. Analysing security, performance and concurrency issues. Code repository and issue tracking systems. Low-level networking. Experience with small single board computers such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, etc. would be an advantage.
The role-holder will be working closely with academics, researchers and industry partners to develop Android applications and platforms and support research. A successful candidate should be highly motivated and able to work autonomously as well collaboratively.
